A FEW TIPS FOR YOU TO ENJOY YOUR STAY
AT TALIWANG BAS :

By now, you have realized the hard beaten path to
Taliwang Bas, though only 11 kilometers from the
nearest town of San Francisco. The rough terrain makes
the journey very difficult and long.

WHAT CAN ONE DO AT TALIWANG BAS?

Besides swimming, tanning, and reading a good book,
one can walk around and follow various trails to adventure,
rent a motorcycle and go all over the island, rent a motor
boat, go fishing, snorkeling, and diving, or just go boating
to different sites around the Island. The people and
residents of Taliwang Bas are primarily fishermen.
Because of their limited English vocabulary they tend to
shy away from strangers, but when approached, they can be very helpful and friendly.

HOW ABOUT FOOD?

If you are satisfied with various species of Fish, then you are in heaven. Just make sure you tell and give the housekeeper money to buy fish in the early morning where there is more variety. Or you can go with the housekeeper early in the morning to purchase the fish or sometimes, a fisherman dock in front of the beach house by 6 in the morning and they can be flagged down. Meat can be more difficult to purchase unless you get it in San Francisco or Poro, but depending on
certain day, some one is either butchering a pig or cow to
sell the meat. As for poultry, many residents have chickens that one can purchase and dress.
